I chose the materials for their bread like qualities, the low layer twist damascus resembles the top of a baguette, while the spalted birch has the color of a perfectly cooked crust, and the black palm represents what you want to see when you cut open a loaf and it has the perfect holes in the crumb.

The hand cut serrations are just the right depth to easily cut crusty breads, but so aggressive that they will chew up your cutting board.
